 Likely Offspring Types from breeding kohaku from Showa koi 

You might see the following in the spawn:

1. Showa (Sanke-like or Showa-type)

   • Some offspring may strongly resemble Showa, with black (sumi) patterning over a white-and-red body.

   • Depending on how dominant the sumi gene is, they may lean more Showa or Sanke (another tricolor koi) in appearance.

2. Goshiki

   • If sumi appears on the head and more over the body, some will develop into Goshiki, five coloured koi with White, Black, Red, light blue and Dark blue.

3. Kohaku-style Fish

   • Some offspring may lack sumi entirely and look like Kohaku with unique colouring pattern of red on white.
