Feeding & Care

 Butterfly koi have exactly the same needs as standard fin koi, they are just bred to have longer fins.

How fast they grow, depends on water quality,food and pond size.

Minimal handling means they stay healthy, and you benefit from an affordable price.

The included 120g of food will keep your koi nourished for 1 week in spring/summer.

Shipping

 We ship koi every Monday, except public holidays, ensuring they arrive safely at your doorstep by Tuesday or Wednesday of the same week. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination, with payments made directly to the courier company. If your purchasing a number of koi or very large and small koi in one order, you may get a message at checkout to contact Windsor fish hatchery for a customer quote.

 All our koi are bred right here at Windsor Fish Hatchery and have never been shipped before. They are in peak health, ready to bring beauty and tranquility to your pond.

To secure your shipment, make sure to place your order by 5 PM on Saturday for delivery the following week. Orders placed on Sunday will be scheduled for dispatch the Monday after next.

Arrival

Most shipments will arrive the Tuesday or Wednesday.  If you want to know how to properly acclimatize your new fish, read the blog. On the bag are the main instructions for acclimatizing your new koi. 

In 2015, our Windsor fish hatchery relocated to a serene rural area, enhancing our commitment to quality.
