Shipping live koi fish

Each fish is carefully conditioned before sale to ensure stress-free travel and easy acclimation to its new home. We use oxygen that is purified for hospital use and ship live fish in insulated boxes—to guarantee comfort and safety during transport.

Acclimatising label instructions are on the bag the fish are in, and the process takes 5-10 minutes.

We take all the photos of our koi, then they are moved to large, oxygen-rich ponds before being listed online. New koi fish are listed on the website every week.

We Do Not ship live fish in short weeks. All public holidays are non-shipping weeks.

Shipping is always on a Monday to arrive at your door on Tuesday or Wednesday. Cut off for shipping is the Saturday prior at 5 pm. Any orders after 5 pm on the Saturday will be sent the Monday fortnight. If you want the fish to be shipped on another Monday, please write that in the comments area at checkout & we will confirm.

Healthy, Happy Koi

Once settled into their new home which can take up to 6 weeks, your new koi fish will be curious & watchful and will contort their bodies to look around them becoming familiar with their surroundings. Frequent use of the pectoral fins probing the surface of the water indicates they are happy with their environment. They may also be hungry all the time. They will be content to glide around the pond, foraging in the plant life and along the bottom of the pond for food. They will always stay together as a group exploring their new home.
