 The Longfin Matsuba Koi is a striking and elegant variety of koi fish that combines two distinctive traits:

 Longfin (also called Butterfly or Dragonfin): These koi have elongated, flowing fins and tails that give them a graceful, almost ethereal appearance. The long fins come from crossbreeding koi with wild Indonesian carp.

1. Matsuba pattern: Matsuba refers to a type of koi with a solid-colored base (usually white, red, or yellow) overlaid with a black “pinecone” netting effect on the scales. This reticulated scale pattern is caused by the black centers of each scale.
