They’re simply adjusting to a new environment. At first, they’ll stay near the bottom, explore slowly, and look for safe hiding spots. They’re also on high alert—watching and listening for anything that could be a threat.
Because of this, they might not eat right away or come up to interact with you. That’s okay.
As they start to feel safe and get used to their new home, you’ll notice a change. They’ll swim out more often, become more active, and eventually feel comfortable enough for you to enjoy watching them in the open.
Just give them a little time—they’ll settle in.
